Result - Pairs Final

Despite going 2 shots down after two ends Gus Sword & Lucy Fisher fought back to lead 4-2 going into the fifth & final end. It was looking good for Katrina Beaton & Graeme Fisher with 5 stones spread around the house and no opposition stones in play. But after some excellent play with his last two stones Gus left Katrina with a difficult double take out with her last stone. It removed only one letting Gus & Lucy steal one shot for a 5-2 victory.

Result - Centenary Bonspiel

The Centenary Trophy was contested for the 40th time yesterday afternoon with a full compliment of 24 players on the ice.

After 4 games of 4 ends 2 teams were tied on 3 wins and 10 ends. But with a superior shot difference Norman Bruce, Ali Macrae, Phil Ward and Jean Cresdee lifted the first silverware of the season. Graeme Fisher, Peter Knoll, Bill Smith and Zoe Fisher were runners up.

After the curling 21 members stayed on for the meal amidst plenty of banter and the presentation of the trophy and prizes.

Centenary Bonspiel & Pairs Competition

November as usual is our busiest month. The Centenary Trophy Bonspiel is this Sunday at 2.30pm sharp and the Pairs Competition commences next Thursday at 8.30pm.
