Aberdeen on Thursday 18 April at 7pm.
All members should by now have
received written notice of the AGM from the Secretary with a form to
indicate next seasons playing preferences.
To allow me me to
accurately prepare next season's ice request it is important this form is returned to me

Spring League Champions
Four teams have finished with 5 wins. However Ian Ingram, Katrina Beaton, Brian Yeats and Keith Johnston are the Spring League Champions having won 5 and peeled 2.
The runners up having won 5 and peeled 1 are Ali Macrae, Mark Coutts, Laina Crockford, Maggi Palmer and Susanne Evans.

Results - John Geddes Bonspiel

Rotary 4 points
At the fourth attempt Aberdeen CC finally won the End of Season Bonspiel !!
Therefore the John Geddes Quaich was awarded to Ian Ingram, Mary Kerr, Maggi Palmer and Charles Pressley who had Aberdeen's largest winning margin of +10 shots.

More importantly a good afternoon was had by all members and guests in memory of John.

Results - Singles Final
The Singles competition was completed this evening when in order Lucy Fisher, Graeme Fisher and Neil Christie played Alison Dunbar, Gus Sword and Peter Knoll.
After 14 ends the score was 15-7 and Lucy, Neil and Graeme lifted the trophy.

John Geddes Bonspiel
The annual end of season bonspiel takes place on Saturday 23 March at 2.30pm.
Six teams from Aberdeen CC will compete against Rotary CC for the John Geddes Quaich.
The Aberdeen team line ups can be found here.
Rules
Skips will draw to see which sheet they are playing on.
Aberdeen CC will play red stones, Rotary CC will play yellow stones.
Games are to be 8 ends or the bell.
Toss for who plays first.
2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a peel.
In the event of points being level the winner will be club with the most shots scored.
Trophy will be retained, for the year, by the team from the winning club that has the biggest winning margin.
After the curling a two course meal will be served (Stuffed Chicken & Vegetables, Sticky Toffee Pudding) followed by the presentation of the Quaich. If you require a vegetarian option please let me know ASAP.
The cost is £22 if you are dining and £10 if curling only to be collected on arrival.
